We would like to congratulate our associate, Andreas Christofides, who has been selected to participate in a ‘Legal Study Visit’ to the UK. The visit has been organized by the British High Commission and Andreas is one of four young Cypriot lawyers to have been chosen out of many candidates. Relevant link here.
The visit will involve Andreas spending a week in London gaining experience in key aspects of Criminal and Civil law. Specifically, he will be spending two days at the Chambers of Pavlos Panayi QC and two days at the Chambers of Kerim Fuad QC where he will be ‘shadowing’ in Criminal and Civil cases. Additionally, one day will be passed with a member of the senior judiciary and, he will also accompany the visit team to meetings with the Ministry of Justice or the FCO (EMD) Team.
Elias Neocleous & Co LLC applauds this initiative as an excellent opportunity to gain valuable insight into the proceedings of cases in the UK. Importantly, the visit will also allow Andreas to be a part of the exchange of ideas and mindsets between Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot lawyers whilst broadening his experience of the practice of law.
